Hi, I'm Olivia - The face behind Buckle Your Brain.

Hi! I’m Olivia Hawkes, your current Miss Uintah County Volunteer. I’m 20 years old, a licensed Master Esthetician, and a firm believer that confidence starts with self-care—and safety. When I’m not working or serving my community, you can usually find me exploring new places and trying every food I can get my hands on!

My S.E.R.V.E. initiative, "Buckle Your Brain," focuses on helmet safety awareness. This issue isn’t just local—it’s national. I’ve seen firsthand how something as simple as wearing a helmet can save a life, and I’m passionate about helping others understand that protecting your brain is just as important as protecting your heart.

Together, we can create a culture where safety is second nature. Buckle up, ride smart, and protect what matters most—your future.

My goal with Buckle Your Brain is not only to raise awareness about helmet safety, but also to make helmets more accessible for children in my community and throughout the state. Every donation makes a difference—and 100% of contributions go directly toward providing a helmet for a child in need. Click the button below to donate to the Charitable Friends Of Ashley Valley and help make helmets accessible! Please put "Buckle Your Brain" in the Venmo memo.  Thank you!

Avery's Story - Why This Mission Is Personal.

Helmet safety isn't just a cause I care about—it's personal. My cousin Avery was only 16 when her life changed in an instant.

She was riding a moped when she unexpectedly crashed. She wasn’t wearing a helmet.

Avery was rushed to the ER and quickly life flighted to a hospital over three hours away. The swelling and bleeding in her brain were so severe that she was taken into emergency brain surgery. Her head had to be shaved, and over 30 staples were placed in her skull. She was in a coma for three days. No one knew if she would ever walk or speak again.

But Avery is a miracle.

After months of recovery and physical therapy, she defied every odd. Today, she is fully healed and preparing to start college in Hawaii.

Her strength is inspiring—but her story is also a sobering reminder.

Avery is lucky. Not everyone gets a second chance.

Her injuries could have been far less severe if she had been wearing a helmet.

This is why I started Buckle Your Brain—to make sure stories like hers become fewer and fewer. Helmets save lives, and every ride is a chance to choose safety.
